School Outreach Programmes

A generation cut off from the shared keyboard

In the whirlwind of screens and frantic rhythms, today's children are growing up further and further away from the keyboard, and even further from the shared keyboard, that bubble of joy where two pairs of small hands learn together:
• Patience
• Mutual listening
• The magic of a duo

Imagine a world in which schools resound with knowing chords, where the piano duo awakens not only the ear but also the heart to collaboration.

The reality today:

• Too many schools lack the resources to offer rich musical experiences
• The piano duo remains unknown to young audiences
• Children have no access to inspiring role models in this discipline
• Budding talents have no outlet to express their collective creativity

Joyful invasions in schools

Amateur Summer Courses

Une discipline sans structure d’accompagnement

50M+ pianists playing piano duo as amateurs worldwide.
0 support structure.
100% unmet demand: partners, suitable scores, places to play.

The amateur pianist is the bedrock of the musical ecosystem: they fill concert halls, drive specialist forums, buy sheet music and recordings.

Roughly half of the world's 100 million pianists have already played piano duo. Yet this practice remains an isolated hobby: it is hard to find a partner of compatible level, the repertoire is little known, and there is no welcoming framework in which to play together.

There is no dedicated support structure for amateur pianists wishing to take up the duo.

It is a vast, engaged, loyal, and entirely overlooked, community.

Our offer

Piano-Piano is developing a complete support programme for amateur practice, built around four complementary initiatives.

1. Summer courses
Intensive courses of 5 to 7 days, open to all levels, bringing together amateurs and young professionals. The approach is built on exchange and the sheer pleasure of playing: mixed-level workshops, playful challenges, impromptu concerts, free duo evenings. The aim is not performance but encounter, building lasting bonds between
participants and giving each one a real, hands-on experience of duo playing.

2. Festival sessions dedicated to amateurs
Within the Piano-Piano festivals, dedicated stages and time slots are reserved for amateur duos. They play under the same conditions as professionals, in front of a welcoming audience, and share privileged moments with the invited artists. It is a tangible way to give value to amateur practice within a professional event.

3. "Reality Show in Four Hands" video series
A documentary-series concept in which an amateur pianist is mentored by a professional, from casting through to their first public concert. The format follows the participant's transformation across several episodes: learning, doubts, complicity, revelation on stage. It is highly engaging content (authenticity, emotion, identification) with strong sharing potential on social media.

4. Open masterclasses and meet-ups
Regular events open to all: direct exchanges with the artists, practical advice, repertoire discoveries. These encounters sustain the community and
create an ongoing link between Piano-Piano and its amateur audience.
